I can see it clearly now, with six decades behind me.
I can see that it wasn’t some kind of personality defect that made my adolescent self feel out of place in this modern world.
I can see that it wasn’t a gloomy or pessimistic disposition that led to me the conclusion, even in my twenties, that everything was constantly getting worse.
I can see why most of the battles I have fought have been losing ones and why, even on those rare occasions where a threat has been seen off, the spectre always came back again, a decade or two later.
I can see that the “fringe” or “extreme” label attached to my point of view by the shapers of opinion does not mean that many people, deep down, do not share my outlook.
I can see all too clearly that this modern world is a giant industrial prison-camp, run by, and in the interests of, a tiny group of zio-satanic bankster-billionaires.
They have nothing but contempt for you and me. To them we are cattle, human capital, who exist only to serve their purposes.
Our lives are disposable, our land is theirs to desecrate, our values are of no interest to them, our opinions are irrelevant, laughable or criminal, our cultures merely obstacles to their own total domination.
They are extremely pleased with themselves for having gathered so much power in all domains of society.
It has taken a lot of hard work – and a lot of cheating, stealing, bribing, blackmailing, threatening, gaslighting and killing – to reach this point.
Brick by brick, generation by generation, they have built a wall around us, topped it with razor wire and posted snipers on its watchtowers.
And the wall moves in on us all the time, constantly closing down the space in which we can live and breathe, shunting us ever closer to the slaughterhouse into which they will herd us when we are of no more use to them.
People always say: “But what are your solutions, Paul? What are we going to practically do about it?”
I have regularly tried to come up with useful suggestions – becoming independent of the system as much as we can, holding out against its latest encroachment on our lives, sabotaging the machineries of its control in any way we are personally able.
But all of this is just buying time, fighting while retreating, limiting the damage.
What really needs to happen is that a critical mass of the population wakes up to the enormous and horrifying reality of what we are enduring.
Our overlords depend on us not realising what they are doing and there is nothing they fear more than exposure.
Because they are such a tiny minority, they have always needed to trick other people to work for them under false pretences.
The moment that their loyal servants realise they have been duped, the game is over.
2. BritCard: a passport to digital slavery
ZIM, the zio-imperialist mafia, has long cherished the dream of imposing a totalitarian-style compulsory ID scheme on the British population.
Tony Blair, one of its principal contemporary puppets, tried on its behalf to introduce an ID card 20 years ago, despite massive public opposition.
His response to critical colleagues at the time was, as the Financial Times reveals: “I accept all the problems but I just see this as an idea whose time has come”.
The Covid scam gave the former UK prime minister – who, like the WEF’s founder Klaus Schwab, has been awarded Israel’s Dan David Prize and is close to the zio-bankster Rothschilds – the chance to have a further, pandemic-pretexted, bash at advancing the same agenda.
In September 2020 he told the BBC that it was “common sense to move in the direction of digital IDs”.
The following year he said that the introduction of vaccine passports was now “inevitable” with the reopening of international travel.
Blair insisted: “Once vaccination really starts to be widespread, of course you’re going to ask for proof of what the vaccination status is.
“Therefore it’s best to start now on trying to devise common standards and if you start to do this on a vast scale, you’re going to need the technology that allows you to do it digitally”.
Vaccine passports did not prove as “inevitable” as all that, but in 2024 Blair was at it yet again with a different excuse, calling for the introduction of ID cards to “help control immigration”.
Now Keir Starmer, his New Labour successor – and fellow friend of the Rothschilds – is considering a mandatory ID scheme called “BritCard” that would require everyone in the UK to have a digital pass on their smartphone to go about their daily lives.
This sinister scheme, launched by the “think tank” Labour Together, continues Blair’s 2024 spin by claiming that it aims to “tackle illegal migration – privately, securely and fairly”.
The line is, of course, that BritCard would be a wonderful boon for His Majesty’s law-abiding subjects – “Easy access to public services that are convenient and personalised. Easy ability to prove your identity, your age, your right to drive, and many other attributes to the state or privately”.
The launch document even has the chutzpah to claim: “Our polling suggests it would be immensely popular”!
“BritCard is a set of digital verifiable credentials that would be stored on a user’s smartphone.
“It would be accessed via the Gov.UK Wallet, with One Login as the identity verification layer. Over time, the same system used to support the right-to-work and right-to-rent credentials could underpin many other features, allowing users to access and use a wide range of data and attributes generated by interacting with the public sector.
“For instance, the digital driving license [sic – American spelling] and associated data, a proof of age feature, and healthcare records could be accessed and shared at the user’s discretion via BritCard”.
The language used in pushing the dystopian proposal is very telling.
BritCard is labelled “a progressive digital identity for Britain” – nicely making the connection between “progressive” as in the “left-wing” change agenda and “progress” as in the associated relentless advance of industrial tyranny.
When it says that BritCard would be a step towards a digital system that is “comprehensive”, we can read totalitarian.
Indeed, it openly states that the scheme “would represent the start of a fundamental transformation in the way British citizens interact with the Government”.
The document also hails BritCard as being a “driver of growth”. Why? Because of all the public money being poured into the pockets of Big Tech? Because it would streamline the exploiter class’s control of its slave population?
It is also telling, if somewhat predictable, that one of the expert sources it cites to justify the scheme is The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change!
Let’s leave the final words here to TV presenter Bev Turner in her call for resistance to BritCard.
She said: “This is about building a centralised, state-controlled, digital identity system that could be used – will be used – to link your finances, your medical history, your travel movements, your social media activity, even your social activity in real life, and more.
“It’s quite frankly a digital dog tag and once it’s clipped around your neck, you will not be able to take it off.
“Let’s also not forget that we are already seeing the slow creep of programmable money.
“The Bank of England is working on a digital pound and has been for a few years, and there are active conversations now about linking spending capabilities to your digital identity.
“That means, if your ID is flagged, limited or suspended – I don’t know, because maybe you said some hurty words on social media – that will mean you can’t access your own money. Just let that sink in!”
Stressing the crucial importance of making a stand against the scheme, Turner warned: “Once the BritCard becomes part of daily life, resistance will be painted as ‘extremist’. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
“So speak up now while we still can! This is about power… who has it, who controls it, who loses it.
“If we let our MPs, cheered on by tech companies, push this through without a fight, it won’t be long before asking the wrong question, spending money on the wrong things, or holding the wrong opinion will put you on the wrong side of the system.
“It’s not even about left or right – it makes that old-fashioned political paradigm utterly irrelevant – it is about being free or being trapped.
“And if we don’t draw the line here, at BritCard, it may be the last line that we ever freely get to draw.
“I won’t be living with you in a digital cage. I will do everything to remain outside of that system”.
3. Your government wants you dead
On the very first day of 2025, The Acorn warned that the British population was under attack from Keir Starmer’s regime, which even appeared to want them dead and was poisoning their food, freezing them to death, polluting their water, bombarding them with radiation, jabbing them to death and encouraging them to commit suicide.
Half way through the year we see no reason to change our minds!
For instance, the UK Parliament, which is under the control of the zio-imperialist mafia, has just approved the legalisation of “assisted suicide”, aka euthanasia for non-profitable units of human capital.
Commented blogger and former lawyer Clare Wills Harrison: “We are a failed nation whose NHS can’t even offer adequate care. Now it is to offer death as a service”.
One citizen journalist remarked: “No joke here. Keir Starmer is a psychopath and he is doing Aktion T4”.
This refers, of course, to what Wikipedia defines as “a campaign of mass murder by involuntary euthanasia which targeted people with disabilities and the mentally ill in Nazi Germany”.
If you doubt whether the “involuntary” element is relevant here, take a look at the chilling list of amendments to the bill that were rejected during its passage, as compiled by that same amateur sleuth, “eyuplovely”.
This shows that Parliament rejected amendments which would have ensured “doctors only discuss euthanasia if the patient explicitly requests it first”, would have insisted on “proof of non-coercion” and would have introduced the eminently sensible safeguard of allowing family or next of kin to challenge the state-sanctioned killing “if they suspect coercion”!
When you add to this the fact that MPs rejected the idea of excluding from the suicide scheme “those who might choose euthanasia due to financial hardship”, we are looking at something very dark and ugly indeed.
This all seems to be part of a convergence between ZIM’s pseudo-democratic fiefdoms and the openly totalitarian ones that it created and ran in the 20th century, such as Nazism and Soviet Communism.
Meanwhile, MPs have also voted to decriminalise abortion up to full-term pregnancy.
Ben Rubin of UK Column went online to say this was undeniably giving the green light to the killing of viable human beings – of children in fact.
Condemning the “hideous agenda” of what can only be described as a death cult, he declared: “These people are pure evil… We are ruled by soulless demons, psychopaths, who place no value whatsoever on human life”.
4. When tyranny is disguised as moral necessity
Satanic inversion is a key aspect of the brainwashing and gaslighting techniques used by the ruling criminocracy to control and manipulate us.
From its Commonwealth operation’s mendacious self-depiction as “a compelling force for good” to its US branch’s absurd claims to “defend democracy” across the world, its language is never far from the Orwellian satire of war being peace and slavery being freedom.
What has been less obvious to most of us is the way in which the system has been gradually manufacturing a highly complex totalitarian apparatus around its inverted notion of ethics.
Fortunately, the blogger known as Escapekey (whose work featured in The Acorn last year) has been on their case and explaining, in some depth, what they have been up to.
In a key June 2025 essay entitled ‘The Complete Architecture’, he says he has discovered “deliberate replication of governance mechanisms that defined the worst totalitarian regimes of the 20th century”.
But, he adds: “The difference is scale and sophistication: where Hitler, Stalin, and Mao operated at national levels through crude political apparatus, this system operates globally through technical expertise and ethical mandate, making it far more insidious and potentially irreversible once fully activated”.
He says that in this globalist mechanism, “science” is positioned as the source rather than subject of ethical frameworks across all aspects of human experience.
Non-compliance with this false god of “science”, creator of all ethics, becomes literally unthinkable, with dissent and resistance appearing not just wrong, but immoral.
The “ethical” framing also gives enforcement bodies “moral” authority to destroy careers without legal process, he stresses.
And he notes we saw this in operation during Covid, when refusal to toe the line was represented as some kind of moral failure.
“Healthcare workers were fired during COVID-19 not for illegal activity, but for ‘ethics violations’ — questioning vaccine mandates, discussing alternative treatments, or prioritising individual patient assessment over standardised protocols”.
Likewise, he observes, scientists face “ethics reviews” for challenging the official climate narrative.
We might add that opposing the official pro-Israel line or the power of the transgender industry is also presented as “hate crime” and thus an ethical “offence”.
Escapekey writes: “Information control operates through the weaponisation of ‘fact-checking’, ‘content moderation’, and ‘media literacy’ frameworks.
“Alternative perspectives are eliminated not through overt censorship but through ethical frameworks that define dissent from expert consensus as ‘misinformation’ or ‘disinformation’“.
He explains that the model for all this is the “clearing house” one, first perfected in the British banking system – providing an obvious clue as to who is behind it!
This involves a deceptive veneer of decentralisation, while in fact power is controlled at the centre – such as “local” banks being subservient to clearing banks, which themselves are subservient to the central bank (the Bank of England).
He writes: “The pattern was methodically exported: the Federal Reserve replicated the British model in 1913, the Bank for International Settlements scaled it globally in 1930, and the same template now governs virtually every aspect of modern life”.
And he warns: “The systematic merger of law and ethics represents the completion of a governance model that defined the worst totalitarian regimes of the 20th century.
“Hitler’s dictum that ‘the total state must not know any difference between law and ethics’ was implemented through identical mechanisms under different guises across Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, and Fascist Italy — despite their supposed ideological differences.
“The pattern was consistent: undermine existing institutions, attack traditional sources of authority, create permanent crisis requiring expert management, replace legal frameworks with ethical mandates, eliminate dissent as moral failure rather than legitimate disagreement.
“The result was arbitrary rule disguised as moral necessity — exactly what we observe today at global scale”.
5. Hermann Hesse: an organic radical inspiration
The latest in our series of profiles from the organic radicals website.
“I don’t share a single one of the ideals of our age”
Hermann Hesse (1877-1962) was a novelist and essayist who once described himself as “an utterly unpolitical man” impelled to speak out about what he saw around him only by his strong “moral instinct”. (1)
An ardent anti-militarist and anti-nationalist, his disgust with the chauvinistic fervour of the First World War led to him fleeing his home country of Germany and settling in Italian-speaking Switzerland.
This principled stance developed into a general moral distaste for the Western industrial capitalist civilisation which allowed, and indeed encouraged, abominations such as wars.
He made the connection explicit when he declared the wretched state of the world was down to “two mental disorders: the megalomania of technology and the megalomania of nationalism”, adding that resistance to these two phenomena was today “the most important test and justification of the human spirit”. (2)
Hesse was a man who found himself completely at odds with “a world deluded by money, time and figures”, (3) a civilization of “analytical methods, of technology as an end in itself, of logical explanations, of the shallow rationalistic world view, associated with such names as Darwin, Marx and Haeckel”. (4)
He wrote to one reader: “I don’t believe in our politics, our way of thinking, believing, amusing ourselves; I don’t share a single one of the ideals of our age”. (5)
His work is infused with a sense of deep alienation from contemporary society and of yearning for another existence.
The central character writes in Steppenwolf: “I was not a modern man, nor an old-fashioned one either. I had escaped time altogether, and went my way, with death at my elbow and death as my resolve”. (6)
And his fictional female alter ego Hermine declares in the same novel: “Whoever wants to live and enjoy his life today must not be like you and me. Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours”. (7)
It is this dimension to his work, also notably expressed in other books such as Demian, Siddharta, and The Glass Bead Game, which makes Hesse so important.
He was influenced in this by Hinduism, Chinese Taoism and Zen Buddhism as well as by European folk stories, the German Romantic tradition, medieval culture and, particularly in The Glass Bead Game, by mathematics.
The spirituality encouraged by Hesse is not of the dogmatic, religious kind, gained by following rituals or procedures laid down by others, but the kind which springs from within each individual. It is our inner quest to reach beyond the shallow banality of everyday life and find a higher reality glimpsed in our dreams and visions.
He writes in Demian: “There was only one true vocation for everybody – to find the way to himself. He might end as poet, lunatic, prophet or criminal – that was not his affair; ultimately it was of no account.
“His affair was to discover his own destiny, not something of his own choosing, and live it out wholly and resolutely within himself. Anything else was merely a half life, an attempt at evasion, an escape into the ideals of the masses, complacency and fear of his inner soul”. (8)
And yet this individually-sourced spirituality cannot be termed “individualist” because the inward-facing quest for self-knowledge leads us to the awareness that our ultimate source and belonging can only be found beyond individuality.
For Hesse, “the desperate clinging to the self and the desperate clinging to life are the surest way to eternal death, while the power to die, to strip one’s self naked, and the eternal surrender of the self bring immortality with them”. (9)
First of all, we could surrender our egotism by accepting that we were merely temporary facets of nature, shaped and informed in all we were and we did by wider organic patterns and forces. After all, “mountain and stream, tree and leaf, root and blossom, every form in nature is echoed in us”. (10)
And then, beyond that, we and nature were part of the great all-embracing whole we called the universe, which was infused throughout with the “self-will” that Hesse regarded as a crucial element of life.
“Everything on earth, every single thing, has its will. Every stone, every blade of grass, every flower, every shrub, every animal grows, lives, moves and feels in accordance with its ‘self-will’, and that is why the world is good, rich and beautiful.” (11)
In the face of war and other barbarity, Hesse was often dismayed by humankind’s inability to come anywhere near to fulfilling its potential.
He wrote, for instance, in the essay ‘Thou Shalt Not Kill’: “If we see our provisional goal in the fulfilment of the spiritual imperatives put forth by the spiritual leaders of mankind from Zoroaster and Lao-tzu down, we are compelled to say that present-day mankind is still far closer to the gorilla than to man. We are not yet human, we are on the way to humanity”. (12)
Yet he was confident that the alchemy of this individual self-knowing and self-will could bring about a general renewal of humanity out of the chaos and collapse of modern military-industrial civilization.
“A giant bird was struggling out of the egg: the egg was the world and the world must first be rent asunder”. (13)
